How do I set up my SMTP?

To set up your SMTP credentials in Ricochet:

- Navigate to Configuration -> User Settings
- Click on SMTP Credentials
- Enter the necessary credentials from your SMTP host provider
- Click Save

NOTE:  As an Admin, if you enter SMTP credentials for other agents, they will not be able to manually send emails in the Ricochet platform.  The SMTP credentials will only be used for Marketing Automation purposes  Each agent will need to enter their own SMTP credentials if you want the Agents' email to be used for Marketing Automation in addition to sending manual emails.

The instructions below can be used for Gmail and Outlook setup

Create a Gmail Application-Specific Password

To generate a new password for Ricochet to access your Gmail account through SMTP/IMAP with two-step authentication enabled: 1 - Select your profile icon in the upper-right corner of Gmail, then select Manage Google Account. 

2 - Select Security in the left sidebar 

3 - Select App passwords under the Signing into Google section. You're then asked to confirm your Gmail login credentials
