Description

The instructions in this article require Branch Manager permission or above

This article explains why there is no need to change direct line numbers flagged as spam. It advises maintaining consistent numbers and clean calling habits to avoid confusion and extra costs. Temporary number switching is possible if necessary, with inbound calls routed accordingly until the spam label clears.

Resolution

There’s no need to switch out the direct line numbers. The carrier label will only appear when calling a contact or quoted lead who already has that direct line saved — and only if the call is going through the specific carrier that applied the tag.

The best practice is to maintain consistent numbers and follow clean calling habits (limiting manual dials and avoiding double taps). Frequently rotating direct lines can become costly and may also create confusion for leads who are accustomed to seeing a familiar number.

That said, if you would still prefer to switch the numbers temporarily, inbound calls from the current line can be routed to a temporary number and then the original number reassigned back once the label clears.

Non-Administrators do not have the access to follow these instructions and should request support from their company admin or open a ticket.
