Why are my SMTP Credentials not saving?

Description

This article describes possible reasons for SMTP Credentials saving failure in user settings tab.


Resolution


There are potentially several reasons why the SMTP settings are not saving.  One main reason is the SMTP Port number from your SMTP host has not been entered.  We have a placeholder text of "587" in the field for SMTP Port that you must type your SMTP Port number into.
  
Another area to check would be your Connection Security to ensure it is set correctly per your SMTP host requirements.
