The instructions in this article require Branch Manager access or above

These instructions explain how to block an incoming phone number in Ricochet by navigating to Configuration > Blocked Numbers, adding a new blocked number, entering the phone number, and saving the change so calls from that number are prevented from reaching the system.

Resolution

Non-Administrators do not have the access to follow these instructions and should open a ticket.

1. To block a phone number from calling into your system, click Configuration.

2. Click Blocked Numbers. This is one list, shared by the whole company, of the numbers that get turned away when they call in, under a Phone Number column and an Actions column.

3. Click Block New Number. Ricochet360 opens a short form headed Add Blocked Number with a single field, labelled Number.

4. Click inside the field and type the number you want to block, area code and all. Ricochet360 formats it as you type and puts the country code in front for you.

5. Click Save. Ricochet360 writes the number and takes you straight back to the list by itself, with no dialog to confirm. Close backs out instead.

6. The new number appears in the table as plain digits, country code first, which is why what you typed with brackets shows here without them. From then on a call from that number is turned away before it reaches anyone.
