Purpose: Setting default Status for new leads

The instructions in this article require Administrator permission
These instructions explain how to set a default lead status when a new lead is posted or created in the system.

Non-Administrators do not have the access to follow these instructions and should request support from their company admin or open a ticket.1. To make a status set as the default status for leads when they post in or get created in Ricochet, click Configuration

2. Click Status Management
3. Click the dropdown to select a status to be used as the default status for leads created (via posting in or created manually).
4. Typically the status selected here would be your "New" type status for all new leads that post in or otherwise get created.
For this example, we will select New Lead
5. Click Save to apply your changes.
